Welcome to the second edition of the National Diversity Council newsletter for 2022. Over the course of the second quarter, the National Diversity Council (NDC) has hosted various LGBTQ+ unity summits across the nation for pride month and hosted the Certified Diversity Professional Program in Sacramento, California; Orlando, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee and Colorado Springs, Colorado with 1,130+ individuals holding the prestigious industry certification.
May marked the celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month and AAPI Heritage Month in which the National Diversity Council unveiled two video series honoring accomplishments, culture and traditions. The Global Diversity Council also hosted the 2022 Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Leadership Summit which highlighted AAPI leaders offering their perspectives and experiences on leadership development and advancement in the corporate suite.
June marked the celebration of pride month, with the National Diversity Council kicking off LGBTQ+ unity summits in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tri-State and Mexico City. The LGBTQ+ unity summits focused on the theme, “Reigniting Allyship Through Unity, Equity & Inclusion” and explored the accomplishments and challenges of LGBTQ+ members in the workplace and ways to be an ally.
