Welcome to the first edition of the National Diversity Council newsletter for 2022. Over the course of the first quarter, the National Diversity Council (NDC) has hosted various virtual Women in Leadership Symposiums across the nation for women’s history month and hosted the Certified Diversity Professional Program virtually in Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; and New York, New York with 1,000+ individuals holding the prestigious industry certification.
March marked the start of the celebration of women’s history month, with the National Diversity Council kicking off symposiums in Pittsburgh, Connecticut, South Florida, Central Ohio, Georgia, North Texas, Northern Ohio, Mexico City, New Jersey, Central Texas, San Antonio, Southwestern Ohio, Gulf Coast, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Michigan, Arizona and Orlando. The symposiums explored the ways women are redefining womanhood, adapting and becoming flexible to changing tides in work structure, pay equity and interpersonal relationships.
This year, the National Diversity Council celebrated surpassing the two-million attendee mark to our Women in Leadership Symposium series since its inception in 2004. This program has been hosted in over 100 cities across the United States and internationally, including Paris, London, Dubai, Toronto, Vancouver, Hawaii, and Mexico City. Reaching this milestone has been possible because of our volunteers and our partners’ commitment to creating more inclusive environments around the globe.
