Welcome to the third edition of the National Diversity Council newsletter for 2021. Over the course of the third quarter, the National Diversity Council (NDC) has hosted the sixth annual National Latino Leadership Conference, National Disability Inclusion Summit and the National Generational Diversity Summit. The NDC also hosted the Certified Diversity Professional Program virtually in Denver, Colorado; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, Georgia; Houston, Texas with more than 969 individuals holding the prestigious industry certification.

August celebrated the Florida and Georgia Business of Diversity & Inclusion Summits. September 15-October 15 marked Hispanic Heritage Month in which the National Diversity Council kicked off with a heritage and legacy video series leading up to the sixth annual 2021 National Latino Leadership Conference featuring award-winning Cuban actor and director Tony Plana and the National Latinas’ in Leadership Program. October marked Disability Employment Awareness Month featuring the Michigan disability inclusion summit with a panel of speakers who spoke on topics such as disability inclusion in the workplace; workplace culture and the American Disabilities Act (ADA); mental health and disability inclusion; Disability Rights and Social Justice; and Identity Beyond Disability: An Intersectional Approach.
