Welcome to the third edition of the National Diversity Council newsletter for 2020. Over the course of the third quarter, the National Diversity Council (NDC) has hosted various virtual Women in Leadership Symposiums across the world, the first Virtual Veterans Summit, the National Latinas in Leadership Breakfast and disABILITY Summits.
In addition to this, the National Diversity Council has certified 564 DiversityFIRST™ Certified Diversity Professionals (CDP) to date. The National Diversity Council also acknowledged 18 companies for benchmarking their diversity and inclusion strategy by participating in the NDC Index. During Hispanic Heritage Month, our CEO, Angeles Valenciano, announced the release of her first book, La Sabiduría De Ana: Recetas De Liderazgo, focusing on her leadership journey. She donated 10 percent of the book’s proceeds to the National Coalition for Racial Justice & Equity (NCRJE) for immigration initiatives. A virtual book release and panel discussion was held in both English and Spanish with Book Publisher and Author, Ani Palacios, International Speaker and Coach, Pilar Ortiz and Senior VP-Strategy & Research for the National Diversity Council, Cecilia Orellana-Rojas, Ph.D. Jacob Monty, Managing Partner of Monty & Ramirez, LLP moderated the event.
