Welcome to the fourth edition of the 2018 Florida Diversity Council newsletter. We are very excited about our past accomplishments and look forward to our upcoming event in the new.
We had much success with the 2018 Healthcare Diversity Summit on October 25th in Deerfield Beach. This summit provided a forum for dialogue and awareness regarding diversity and inclusion in the healthcare industry. We were able to share knowledge on best practices for building an organizational culture that is culturally competent and inclusive.
We are also excited to host the Florida DiversityFIRST™ Certification Program in December. This 5-day intensive course will prepare professionals to create and implement highly successful D&I strategies for organizational excellence and a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace. The program blends theory and practice through intensive curriculum and offers ongoing professional development through the DiversityFIRST™ Graduate Network.
