On September 21st, the Florida Diversity Council successfully held an event focused on the Business of Diversity and Inclusion hosted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Tampa. This event offered attendees the opportunity to delve into the return on investment for diversity and inclusion initiatives with a variety of companies and business owners. The theme of the event was “How to Leverage D&I to Maximize your Bottom Line.”

This year’s Keynote Speaker was Maureen Greene James, Leader of Diversity & Leadership Development at Cognizant. Attendees also heard from an executive panel including Gail Holtzman, Principal at Jackson Lewis, Jennifer Frasier, Global Director of D&I at FIS Global and Chris Gonzales, Executive Director at USAA’s Property Claims. They facilitated conversation highlighting strategies to increase profitability through diversity and inclusion.

Workshops were also held by Deloria Nelson Streete, Managing Director of D&I at Charles Schwab & Company and Leonard Posey, Senior Vice President/D&I Officer at Lee Hecht Harrison. These sessions focused on helping executives and business leaders answer two questions: what is the business case for this investment, and what role can I play?

The Florida Diversity Council would like to thank our sponsors PwC and USAA, and the many speakers and attendees for supporting this event. It could not have such a success without all of you.
