We would like to welcome you to the third edition of the 2018 Illinois Diversity Council Newsletter. We are very excited about our past accomplishments and look forward to our upcoming events in the year.
Summer is coming to a close and we are excited to feature several events in the fall. On August 30, we will be hosting our signature event, the Women in Leadership Symposium, in Chicago. This half day event features a panel of female business leaders from various industries discussing leadership best practices, professional development and career progression. Participants will also have a chance to partake in the discussion through Q&A sessions that will be hosted throughout the event.
On October 15, we welcome the DiversityFIRST™ Certification Program to Chicago. This 5-day course prepares professionals to create and implement highly successful D&I strategies for organizational excellence and a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace. The program blends theory and practice through intensive curriculum and offers on-going professional development through the DiversityFIRST™ Graduate Network.
