For the first time ever, the Florida Diversity Council will be hosting the Business of Diversity and Inclusion on September 21st in PwC’s downtown Tampa office. This event was created after our FLDC Board of Director’s noticed that across Florida our membership was looking for more knowledge around two specific topics: How do we include everyone in D&I programs and how do we measure the results of these programs? This event aims to answer both questions.
We will open the event with a panel of amazing high-ranking executives consisting of Hubertus Muehlhaeuser, CEO of Welbilt; Gail Holtsman, Principal for Jackson Lewis; Chris Gonzalez, Executive Director of USAA; and Jennifer Frasier, Global Director of Diversity and Inclusion for FIS Global. These professionals will give the audience a taste of how the executive team of a company can play a vital role in creating diversity and inclusion efforts and lead the rest of their team in creating an inclusive culture.
Following the panel, the audience will be offered two different workshops. The first, Is there a Place for Me?, will teach different strategies on how to create D&I programs that promote the involvement of allies. The second workshop, Measuring the Financial Benefits of Inclusion, will outline how company representatives can make the business case for D&I programs with proper measurement techniques. Lastly, the event will conclude with a strong Keynote Speech presented by Maureen Greene James, Leader of Diversity and Leadership Development for Cognizant.
If you are new to D&I efforts or a seasoned D&I professional, you are guaranteed to learn something new during this spectacular event. For more information and to register, please visit our site. We’ll see you there!
