The Florida Diversity Council held our annual statewide Florida Generational Diversity Summit on Thursday, January 18th in Tampa at PwC. This event highlighted the ways business leaders can address the needs and challenges of a multi-generational workforce. The event successfully tackled the hard topics of promoting generational diversity and inclusion in the business world, as well as ways to leverage differences in age.
Event attendees gained knowledge and advice from a diverse group of top corporate leaders who shared insight from their personal success and leadership experience. These leaders included panelists Ameerah Mukayed from Tech Data, Matthew Hirst from GameStop, and Melisa Cook from PwC. Cal Jackson of Tech Data emceed the event alongside keynote speaker Angela L. Talton of Nielson who shared the importance of creating a generationally inclusive workplace. Topics that pertained to leveraging generational diversity and encouraging successful communication were discussed, allowing leaders in the business world to share their best practices.
