Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York – Tri-State Diversity Council members had the opportunity to attend three Generational Diversity Summits in the Tri-State area. These were held in East Hartford, Connecticut at Goodwin College on September 27, 2017, Parsippany, New Jersey at the DSM offices on September 28, 2017, and in New York, New York at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development on October 13, 2017.

Keynote speakers Ellen Lambert, the Chief Diversity Officer of PSEG, Leslie C. Rohrbacker, the Chief Human Resources Officer of Fragomen and Martha Ruiz-Cornejo, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Univision Communications as well as panelists and moderators that highlighted the importance of multi-generational diversity and inclusion efforts in the workplace. Our panelists represented a variety of organizations such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Direct Energy Business, Fried Frank, GameStop, Gartner, Pratt & Whitney, Rutgers Future Scholars, Sodexo and Voya Financial. The summits and speakers encouraged dialogue and best practice sharing amongst leaders from various organizations and industries. Attendees gained a greater ability to practice generational diversity and had time to network with local business professionals committed to diversity and inclusion.
