On October 20, 2017 the Georgia Diversity Council hosted the 2017 Georgia Leadership Conference at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown. The conference was a success and event attendees gained knowledge and advice from a diverse group of corporate leaders who shared insight from their personal success and leadership experience.

“We are proud to host the Leadership Conference in Georgia in order to provide professionals a place to share best practices,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council.

The Conference featured top business leaders presenting on topics including “Making Career Transitions,”“Lessons Learned at the Top,” and “Developing Culturally Competent Leaders.” In addition, business leaders were recognized with a series of awards highlighting their commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. These awardees received accolades of Most Powerful and Influential Women, Leadership Excellence, and Young Leadership in Diversity & Inclusion.

Keynote speakers included Nzinga Shaw, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of the Atlanta Hawks and Aron Levine, Head of Consumer Banking & Merrill Edge at Bank of America. Other business leaders spoke on panels discussing their experiences regarding leadership and diversity.
