On October 5, 2017, the Arizona Diversity Council will host their annual DiversityFIRST Awards luncheon at Arizona State University. This annual event, which includes participants with diverse ethnicities, backgrounds and experiences, is held in order to share best practices in the areas of diversity and inclusion. This year’s keynote speaker is Tony Plana, award winning star of Ugly Betty.
“The DiversityFIRST Awards Luncheon not only facilitates the sharing of diversity best practices, it also gives us a chance to recognize individuals and corporations for their leadership, achievement, and commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council.
The event will begin promptly at 9:00 am with registration and networking, followed by breakout sessions in which business leaders will share diversity and inclusion best practices they have implemented in their organization. A questions and answer session will be held following each session to allow attendees a chance to participate in the conversation with these thought leaders.
Following the breakout sessions, an awards luncheon will be held, keynoted by Tony Plana. Individuals and organizations will be recognized during the lunch with the DiversityFIRST Award for their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
