The National Diversity Council will hold its inaugural DiversityFIRSTâ„¢ Certification Program December 4 to 8 at the University of Central Florida. The purpose of the program is to prepare participants to create and lead highly successful diversity and inclusion strategies for organizational excellence.
“I am happy to see the growth of the DiversityFIRST™ Certification Program in Florida,? said Dennis Kennedy, founder and chairman of the National Diversity Council. “Each year, we make improvements to the program and ensure our graduates have the tools and knowledge to positively impact diversity and inclusion in their organizations.?
With a highly-qualified faculty, the DiversityFIRSTâ„¢ Certification Program blends theory and practice during a 5-day intensive curriculum focusing on the business case for diversity and inclusion, cultural competence, measurement and accountability, inclusive leadership, and best practices. Ongoing professional development follows through the online DiversityFIRSTâ„¢ Graduate Network. Graduates of the program are recognized as a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional (NDCCDP).
“We are pleased to partner with the University of Central Florida’s Division of Continuing Education to bring the certification program to the region,? said Kennedy. “This will be a unique opportunity for leaders in Florida and beyond to engage in current topics around diversity and inclusion.?
