The National Diversity Council will hold its inaugural DiversityFIRSTâ„¢ Certification Program October 9 to 13 at Rutgers Business School. The purpose of the program is to prepare participants to create and lead highly successful diversity and inclusion strategies for organizational excellence.

“I am happy to see the launch of the DiversityFIRST™ Certification Program in the Tri-State Area,? said Dennis Kennedy, founder and chairman of the National Diversity Council. “Each year, we make improvements to the program and ensure our graduates have the tools and knowledge to positively impact diversity and inclusion in their organizations.?

With a highly-qualified faculty, the DiversityFIRSTâ„¢ Certification Program blends theory and practice during a 5-day intensive curriculum focusing on the business case for diversity and inclusion, cultural competence, measurement and accountability, inclusive leadership, and best practices. Ongoing professional development follows through the online DiversityFIRSTâ„¢ Graduate Network. Graduates of the program are recognized as a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional (NDCCDP).

“The National Diversity Council offers a tremendous opportunity to gain a strong understanding of the many dimensions of diversity in 21st century America,? said Jorge Reina Schement, vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion at Rutgers University New Brunswick and Rutgers Biological and Health Sciences. “The certification program will prepare students for an exciting future.?
