We would like to welcome you to the third edition of the 2017 Ohio Diversity Council Newsletter. We are very excited about our past accomplishments and look forward to our upcoming events in the year.
This past quarter, the Ohio Diversity Council hosted the DiversityFIRST Certification program in Cincinnati from August 7-11. The program prepared attendees to create and implement highly successful D&I strategies for organizational excellence and a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace. Upon completion, all graduates were recognized as a NDCCDP (National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional). For more information about this event, be sure to read the article covering it in this edition of our newsletter.
Looking ahead, the council will feature events covering many different aspects of diversity, highlighted by the 2017 Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference, which will take place October 19-20 in Columbus. This event will afford organizations the opportunity to explore the tools and resources necessary to build diverse workforces and remain competitive on the global stage. For more information and to register, please visit ohiodiversityconference.com.
As the Ohio Diversity Council continues to grow, we will add initiatives and programs, which address a broader variety of topics, such as corporate responsibility, women’s leadership, and the importance of education among our youth. We will also offer consulting and mentoring services specifically catered to your organization’s needs, whether it be the formulation of diversity and inclusion efforts, corporate responsibility programs, or any other initiatives you may require.
We hope you will have the opportunity to participate in some of our upcoming 2017 events and learn more about our organization, as we continue to champion, educate, and raise awareness about diversity issues in Ohio – one organization and one community at a time.
