We would like to welcome you to the third edition of the 2017 NDC Carolinas Diversity Council Newsletter. We are very excited about our past accomplishments and look forward to our upcoming events in the year.

This past summer, the NDC Carolinas hosted our annual Diversity Best Practices Meetings in both Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham on July 13 and July 12, respectively. The purpose of these events was to highlight the importance of diversity best practices in the workplace. Company representatives who attended were able to share their insights about diversity and inclusion practices and discuss the programs they have implemented in their own organizations. To learn more, be sure to check out the article covering these events in this edition of our newsletter.

Looking ahead, we are very excited to host the North Carolina Women In Leadership Symposium on September 22 at Duke University. This half day event will bring female business leaders together to discuss their rise to the top and how others can follow in their footsteps. To learn more and register, be sure to read the article covering the symposium in this edition of our newsletter. We hope to see you at this fantastic event in the fall.

As the NDC Carolinas Diversity Council continues to grow, we will add initiatives and programs, which address a broader variety of topics, such as corporate responsibility, women’s leadership, and the importance of education among our youth. We will also offer consulting and mentoring services specifically catered to your organization’s needs, whether it be the formulation of diversity and inclusion efforts, corporate responsibility programs, or any other initiatives you may require.

We hope you will have the opportunity to participate in some of our upcoming 2017 events and learn more about our organization, as we continue to champion, educate, and raise awareness about diversity issues in the Carolinas– one organization and one community at a time.
