We would like to welcome you to the third edition of the 2017 Georgia Diversity Council Newsletter. We are very excited about our past accomplishments and look forward to our upcoming events in the year.
This past quarter, the Georgia Diversity Council hosted our 2017 LGBT+ Roundtable on June 8. This half day event presented tools and resources to elevate the conversation regarding workplace equality. Attendees also had the opportunity to share best practices on what they are doing to advance LGBT polices within their organization. To learn more about this event, be sure to check out the article covering it in this edition of our newsletter.
Looking ahead, the council is excited to host our 8th Annual Leadership Conference on October 20. This full day event will afford organizations the opportunity to explore tools and resources necessary to build diverse workforces and remain competitive on the global stage. It will also provide a valuable opportunity for individuals to network together and grow in their knowledge of diversity and leadership. For more information and to register, be sure to read the article covering the conference in this edition of our newsletter.
As the Georgia Diversity Council continues to grow, we will add initiatives and programs, which address a broader variety of topics, such as corporate responsibility, women’s leadership, and the importance of education among our youth. We will also offer consulting and mentoring services specifically catered to your organization’s needs, whether it be the formulation of diversity and inclusion efforts, corporate responsibility programs, or any other initiatives you may require.
We hope you will have the opportunity to participate in some of our upcoming 2017 events and learn more about our organization, as we continue to champion, educate, and raise awareness about diversity issues in Georgia – one organization and one community at a time.
