On March 21, 2017, the Michigan Diversity Council hosted the Detroit Women in Leadership Symposium at the Garden Theater. This half day event brought together female business leaders who shared insight from their personal success and professional leadership experience.

“The Women in Leadership Symposium is an incredible way to encourage success amongst women,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chairman of the National Diversity Council. “This type of event gives women the perfect platform to share great knowledge and experiences with one another.”

The featured panelists discussed topics regarding leadership and career advancement, such as “Pioneering Pay Equity”, “The Power of No: Defining Your Impact as a Leader”, and “Friend or Foe: Forging Intentional Relationships with Other Women. After the panel discussion, audience members were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts with the speakers.

The Michigan Diversity Council would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers and attendees for helping to make this event a success.
