On March 8, 2017, the Ohio Diversity Council hosted the 2017 Toledo Women in Leadership Symposium at the University of Toledo. The event was one of 37 Women in Leadership Symposiums held across the country during March in honor of Women’s History month.

“We were very excited to partner with the University of Toledo to host our event,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council. “Bringing women together to educate and encourage one another is a great place to begin the path to success.”

The half-day event featured multiple business leaders from various organizations discussing topics such as “The Difference ‘ Difference’ Makes-Double Minority Leadership,”“Transforming the Rules of Engagement,” and “Lifting Up the Next Generation of Women.”

The symposium began with a welcome from Sharon L. Gaber, President of The University of Toledo. Following a series of speeches presented by four featured panelists, audience members were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on the discussion topics presented. The Ohio Diversity Council would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers and attendees for helping to make this event a success
