On March 15, 2017, the Pennsylvania Diversity Council held the Pittsburgh Women in Leadership Symposium hosted by Duquesne University. Attendees gained knowledge and advice from corporate leaders who shared insight from their personal success and professional leadership experience.

“The Women in Leadership Symposium is an incredible way to encourage success amongst women,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chairman of the National Diversity Council. “This type of event gives women the perfect platform to share great knowledge and experiences with one another.”

The half-day event featured multiple business leaders from various organizations. This year’s symposium focused topics such as “Leading with Authenticity: Strategies for Success with Your Own Leadership Style”, “Lifting Up the Next Generation of Women”, and “Switching Your Career: When Life Calls for a U Turn”.

The symposium began with a welcome from Lanre Ogunbufunmi, Coordinator at the National Diversity Council. Following a series of speeches presented by four featured panelists, audience members were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on the discussion topics presented.

The Pennsylvania Diversity Council would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers and attendees for helping to make this event a success.
