NDC Carolinas, an affiliate of the National Diversity Council, will be holding its 2017 Diversity Best Practices series in two locations throughout North Carolina during the month of July:
- Raleigh-Durham, NC - July 12th
- Charlotte, NC – July 13th
The purpose of this meeting is to promote the importance of diversity and inclusion efforts in the workplace. It is comprised of two speaker presentations that will provide a comprehensive overview of the diversity & inclusion initiatives they are leading within their organizations, followed by a question and answer session for attendees to expound upon some of the topics discussed by the presenters and reflect on take-aways they may bring back to their own organizations. Some of the primary learning objectives for the meetings are to hear live case studies from two companies that have successfully implemented diversity & inclusion programs locally; discuss the talent cycle and strategies to aid in recruitment, retention, and development of employees; and learn about effective interventions that improve diversity engagement in the workplace and result in business integration and sustainability. In addition, the meetings will offer continuing education credits for human resources professionals.
