On March 9, 2017, the Louisiana Diversity Council held the 4th Annual New Orleans Women in Leadership Symposium hosted by Cox Communications. Attendees gained knowledge and advice from female executives who shared insight from their personal success and career experience.
“Brining women together to educate and encourage one another is a great place to begin the path to success,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chairman of the National Diversity Council. “This type of event brings together successful women leaders who educate, inspire and encourage other women to move higher in their organizations”.
The half-day event featured multiple business leaders from various organizations. This year’s symposium focused topics such as “Switching your Career: When Life Calls for a U-Turn”, “Women on the Web: Leveraging Social Media as a Means to Success”, and “Leading with Authenticity: Strategies for Success with Your Own Leadership Style”.
The symposium began with a welcome from Colleen Levy, VP of Field Marketing with Cox Communications, Inc. Following a series of speeches presented by six featured panelists, audience members were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on the discussion topics presented.
The Louisiana Diversity Council would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers and attendees for helping to make this event a success.
