The Florida Diversity Council will be hosting its annual Florida Diversity & Leadership Conference on April 12th, 2017 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, FL. The primary focus of this event is to ensure companies possess the tools they need for success by sharing the diversity and inclusion best practices and essential leadership skills. The evolution and success this conference has experienced, is a testament to the continued support and commitment to diversity.

This event is comprised of an opening awards breakfast recognizing our Most Powerful and Influential Women. Additionally the event features several breakout panel sessions and an awards luncheon with a keynote address recognizing our Multicultural in Leadership Awardees. Throughout the conference speakers will openly discuss topics relating to the event theme of “Fostering Equity Through Inclusion,” and the Council will have the honor to recognize several influential business executives who have exemplified leadership excellence and championed diversity and inclusion throughout their careers.

Throughout the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to attend workshops and panel sessions on topics such as “Developing Culturally Competent Leaders,” “We Rise: Women of Color in Leadership” “Leadership Roundtable Lessons Learned from the Top,” and many more. We seek to embrace the synergy of our systems today that support the creation of all-inclusive, lucrative, and sustainable world we wish to see tomorrow. In addition, we are pleased to announce that this year’s keynote speaker is Adis Vila, Retired First Chief Diversity Officer at the US Air Force Academy. Some of the companies represented by our speakers and award recipients are: Adecco, Carnival Cruise Lines, GameStop, Orlando Magic, Sodexo, SunTrust Bank, Tech Data, and Wells Fargo.
