The NDC Carolinas hosted its 2016 North Carolina Women in Leadership Symposium at the Rho Building in Chapel Hill on September 16th. This annual event attracted approximately 50 attendees who gathered to hear from local executives about their experiences and insights on the event theme of Securing Your Place at the Table.

“This type of forum is so important because it offers a much needed opportunity for women corporate leaders to share insights from their personal success and leadership experience as professionals” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of the National Diversity Council.

The half-day event featured multiple business leaders from various organizations discussing topics such as “Developing Your Leadership Potential: Knowing What, When, and How,” “Positioning Yourself for the Next Big Opportunity,” and “Becoming a Person of Influence.” Each panelist was able to address a specific topic of discussion on which they shared their personal experiences, and attendees enjoyed the opportunity to pose questions to the panelists.

The NDC Carolinas would like to thank the event sponsors for their support of the Women in Leadership Symposium: Aerotek, Rho, and University of Phoenix. Special thanks to all the volunteers, speakers and attendees for helping to make this event a success.
