On August 9th, the Colorado Diversity Counci hosted the 2016 Colorado Diversity Boot Camp in partnership with Level 3 Communications. The theme of this year’s boot camp was “Unconscious Bias.”
“This boot camp offered a great starting point to improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair of National Diversity Council. “Participants had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of diversity best practices and, in turn, contribute to the growth of their own organizations.”
Marion McPherson, Expert Practitioner at North Highland Worldwide Consulting, lead attendees in discussing topics that encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The boot camp also explored the changes in prevailing theories and practices in diversity and inclusion leadership, strategy and inclusion. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about domestic and global diversity best practices and cutting-edge initiatives.
