The Georgia Diversity Council hosted the 4th Annual Talent and Diversity Best Practices Meeting on August 26, 2016 at the offices of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Atlanta. The purpose of this annual event is to discuss how diversity relates to the Talent Cycle and to help attendees maximize the talents and skills of current employees at their organizations as well as highlight best practices for recruiting a diverse workforce.
This half-day event opened at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and networking. Attendees had the opportunity participate in moderated discussions with Ferdinand L. Risco, Jr., Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion at MARTA, and Pia Cornejo, Vice President Americas Talent & Resourcing at IHG. Each speaker shared their experiences working to enhance diversity in the workplace. Following discussions, attendees had the opportunity to share their thoughts in an open question and answer session.
The Georgia Diversity Council would like to thank all speaker, sponsors, volunteers and attendees for making this event a success. Program booklets, photos, and other events can be viewed on the Georgia Event Timeline.
