On March 9th, 2017, the Illinois Diversity Council will host the 8th Annual Illinois Women’s Conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This conference will offer women a venue to learn from and network with the top female business leaders in the state. A select group of leading women in business will also be recognized for their professional accomplishments with Top 20 Women in Business Award.
“The Illinois Women’s Conference is an excellent place to showcase the great strides women have made in the business world,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder & Chair of the National Diversity Council. “Highlighting the leading women in Illinois shows women that their aspiration are not unattainable.”
The conference will open with Top 20 Women in Business Awards breakfast, keynoted by Whitney Shelley. Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Denbury Resources. Following the breakfast, conference attendees will have the opportunity to enhance their professional skillsets by participating in breakout sessions discussing topics such as “Truths Female Leaders Need to Know,” “Secrets to Winning at Work,” and “Getting What You Want Out of Life.” These topics were designed to challenge conventional ideology and promote organizational changes incorporating gender diversity.
Following the breakout sessions, lunch will be served, highlight by keynote speaker Cheryle Jackson, President of AAR Africa. Additional breakout sessions will follow the luncheon with a reception closing out the event at 3:30pm.
